Indies, indies galore Nintendo's relationship with indepedent developers has been surprisingly strong with the Switch, and for many indies sales have exploded on the Switch. Knowing this, we expected a blockbuster showcase from the company and, well, we didn't quite get that.

We may not have seen a new Animal Crossing title or Bayonetta 3, but Nintendo certainly gave us our fill of Smash Bros. information. Amiibo figures and the ability to select a stage before choosing characters.

Thanks to a leak, we already knew Fortnite is coming to Nintendo Switch.

I also love crossover fighting games because why bother watching some randos fight each other when it could be my favorite fighting #brands like comic book characters or, better yet, Nintendo characters. To us, it's genuinely impressive how massive the platform's library has become in just over a year. Many eyes will be on the Super Smash Bros. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is more than just a port and will triumphantly be the ultimately version of Super Smash Bros.
