NBA Finals preview: Golden State Warriors vs the Cleveland Cavaliers

On one side, the best team of this era. That's why he's the best player in the world.

Coach Steve Kerr lamented that Golden State's first half on Monday night was "one of the most freaky first halves" his team has played since he's been with the Warriors and joked that he thought of resigning at halftime before getting serious.

"Our relationship has always been a working relationship", James said. James asks. Schwarz says "Well, did he think that the game was tied, or did he think that you guys had it salted away?"

The Cavaliers reached the finals after a wild Eastern Conference series with the Boston Celtics, sealing victory in game seven on Sunday with an 87-79 win on the road.

The Warriors hoped Iguodala would return to the Houston series, but his progress stalled.

"I thought he was looking for LeBron", Green said.

James was the Finals MVP back in 2016 when the Cavaliers overcame a 3-1 deficit to win the championship. I mean, he knows he's LeBron James, and he knows who he is.

Lebron James is heading to his eighth consecutive finals and his ninth overall.

Is this good? Is this bad? It's been roses. There have been thorns in the roses.

Golden State struggled to hit shots for stretches.

In the third quarter, point guard Stephen Curry scored 14 of the Warriors' 33 points as they turned the deficit into a seven point lead entering the final quarter. "I don't give up on any of my players, any of my teammates, so I don't think that even needs to be said".

Film-wise, those two games are meaningless now.

Love, 29, is averaging 13.9 points and 10 rebounds per game in the postseason. "But we'll worry about that when we get home".

NBA odds: Who will win the 2018 NBA Championship?

Cleveland was only 50-32 this season.

James has stressed being able to play this season, the first in which he did not miss a regular-season contest.

"Contrast that to now where he's shooting fadeaway 3s from 30 feet to close games out", Kerr said. "Everybody had their opinions on what our team was, what we would do, what we can't do, from the start". And while Schwarz can just keep asking the same question in slightly different ways over and over again if he wants, it's maybe reasonable for James to be frustrated by that, especially as the question (about Smith's mindset) is something he doesn't necessarily know and can't necessarily speak to. "We know what we have here and what we're trying to do".

Same goes for the Warriors. "When over at the table, we then are allowed to determine whether or not he was in legal guarding position". "We've been through a lot with this team, and believe it or not, it's not all success with the Warriors". "We're been playing really physical, getting stops". There were five more minutes of free basketball in overtime.
