One of the numerous reasons why many underestimated Barcelona's chances of success ahead of 2017-18 was because they lost Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain last August.

"When I talk to Neymar, I'm not talking about Real Madrid or leaving PSG".

Inda claims when Messi first came over to Spain, Messi wanted to play in the capital and Real Madrid's former sporting director Jorge Valdarno had attempted to sign him.

"It would be awful, because of all that Ney means to Barcelona", Messi told Argentina's TyC Sports.

Messi has since won nine La Liga titles, four Champions Leagues and the Ballon d'Or five times. "But to end in Real Madrid would be a hard blow for us and for Barcelona fans". And at a soccer level, he would make Madrid much stronger than that it is.

Neymar has scored 28 goals and made 19 assists across all competitions this term.

The 26-year-old, who has spent only one season with the Ligue 1 side so far, has already been tipped for an exit from the club despite being contracted to the French champions until 2022.

"What Mohammed Salah is doing is something that I am not surprised but am not surprise because he has demonstrated he can do it over the years", Kwadwo Asamoah on Atinka FM. "You know a lot about him and the likes of [Lionel] Messi because you watch them on YouTube when you're growing up, you always watch those type of players", he told reporters.

If he was to win football's most prestigious individual award it would finally put an end to the Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo duopoly that the talented pair had over the award since 2008.

"It's a weight that we carry and we want to overcome it", he said.
