Sony today launched a new device for their Xperia lineup. It also has an ISO 51200 sensitivity for photos, and 960fps slow motion video recording.

Branded Xperia XZ2 Premium, the new device keeps the same overall design as the XZ2, but upgrades the display, rear camera, battery, and a handful of other key specs. Let's discuss all this in this particular article.

The Xperia ZX2 Premium pairs Qualcomm's latest smartphone SoC with 6 GB of memory and 64 GB of UFS internal storage.

The device has a dual camera setup on the rear panel with ultra-sensitive cameras.

There's one easy way to tell the XZ2 premium from the regular XZ2 at a glance.

"Given the strength of the existing Xperia XZ range, specifically the XZ2, XZ2 Compact, and XZ Premium, there are now no plans for widespread ranging of the handset [XZ2 Premium] in the United Kingdom and Ireland". However, the Sony cameras allow you to a achieve a maximum 51,2000 ISO level for still images, and 12,800 ISO for videos. It also has a fairly thick-looking body, keeping in line with the design language of the XZ2 and XZ2 Compact.

The XZ2 Premium sports a 5.8-inch TRILUMINOS display with 4K resolution (3840×2160 pixels) and Corning's Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. Certified IP65/IP68iv, XZ2 Premium is also created to withstand splashes and spills. It also bears stereo speakers. The "Premium" moniker means that the new XZ2 comes with high-end features including the 4K HDR Display. The external storage slot of the phone supports up to 400 GB of microSD card. While the XZ2 and XZ2 compact feature respective batteries of 3,180 mAh and 2,870 mAh, the Xperia XZ2 Premium offers a comparatively beefier 3,540 mAh power pack. It also supports Qi wireless charging.

Just a couple of months back, Sony launched the Xperia XZ2, and now it has introduced the Premium version of it. The fingerprint sensor sits at the back and the audio is routed to the earphones via a Type-C port.

Instead, the Japanese firm has split image capture between one 19-megapixel colour sensor and a 12-megapixel monochrome. Most of you are aware of the fact that the ISO measures the sensitivity of the sensor.

For one thing, the Xperia XZ2 Premium cannot only shoot in 4K HDR, it can also showcase the footage in 4K HDR as its 5.8-inch display supports the standard. The user-facing camera is a 13-megapixel unit with a 22-mm wide-angle lens with an f/2.0 aperature.

Sony's out with a new Xperia XZ2 Premium. The smartphones get IP65/68 certification for being water and dust resistant smartphone.
