Liverpool Reportedly Confident of Signing Jorginho to Replace Emre Can

Ian Wright has added to the speculation surrounding Mo Salah, claiming that the Liverpool star will have grown up dreaming playing for Real Madrid, not the Merseysiders.

The Egypt worldwide has been in sensational form since signing for the Merseyside outfit from AS Roma in the summer transfer window past year.

However, the player himself has now poured cold water on reports that he could leave Anfield and insists that he wants to stay at the club and help them fight for the title.

All you can hope is that Salah has a different mentality to the players who left Anfield in years gone by, yet you wonder whether anyone in that Liverpool squad has big loyalty to a club that they have no emotional connection with.

Salah led Liverpool in the Premier League match on Saturday to defeat Watford 5-0, scoring four goals and providing an assist to Roberto Firmino.

Only Real Madrid superstar Ronaldo can claim to have bettered that return, while Salah's 28 goals in the Premier League having him leading the race for the English Golden Boot and the European Golden Shoe.

"He's got the goals, I don't see why he couldn't win it".

With the Reds being in the Champions League quarter-finals and in an advantageous positon, the former striker believes teams would rather be in Liverpool's shoes at a late stage of the campaign.

"It is hard because I don't run Liverpool Football Club and I am not involved in the finance, but I would offer him a new contract straight away".

As for Juventus, they won't stand for being messed around too much and if Can's public chatter, and apparent arrogance, continues then there's a good chance the Turin club will walk away.

The reality is that most players in world football can not say no when Real Madrid or Barcelona come calling and Liverpool may be about to discover as much once again with their latest superstar.
