The event is scheduled for June 4th through 8th and like past year, it will take place in San Jose's McEnery Convention Center.

The random lottery ticket process for developers will launches today and ends on March 22 at 10AM PDT/1PM EDT, with winners notified by March 23 at 5PM PDT/8PM PDT. Apple will then randomly select developers who can then purchase a ticket for $1,599. Despite being developer-focussed events, these events are significant to everyone else as well because it's at these events that Apple announces updates to the software that powers its iconic devices. Apple plans to award up to 350 WWDC Student Scholarships-including a ticket to the conference plus a one-year membership in the Apple Developer Program-to "talented students and STEM organization members".
