Black Panther: Everything Doesn't Have to Be Gay

In a photograph posted on Marvel Studios' official Instagram page, Coogler shared that his cast and crew never anticipated the level at which "Black Panther" would touch movie-goers.

This is way more than just a movie; this has become an influential movement.

The last we saw Bucky, played by Sebastian Stan, was at the end of 2016's Captain America: Civil War where we saw him being kept in some sort of cryo-freezing chamber in Black Panther's land of Wakanda.

"Black Panther" fever has reached new heights at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This film is an impressive celebration of African culture and although it staggers somewhat in terms of pacing towards the final act the performances from the cast and the brilliant direction by Ryan Coogler ensure it remains a brilliant and thought-provoking addition to the ever-growing MCU. I always thought that T'Challa should have a quiet dignity. For example, Carter fashioned the Jabari tribe in the movie after the Dogon people of West Africa. The result will likely see the character return to prominence in the comics after he factored into Black Panther stories in the '70s-a period that the film's revolutionary bent owes a lot to. The cast-led by Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Gurira-is mostly black with the exception of two supporting characters. Marvel's latest film is now enjoying status as a cultural phenomenon, thanks in large part to it appealing to traditionally unrepresented superhero fans.

Patty Jenkins, the director of Wonder Woman also called the film's success "incredibly meaningful". "I think they'll love learning about AfroFuturism, and we've studied black feminism/womanism before, so I think they'll appreciate connecting those dots after seeing the film".

And it is vibranium, along with the near-inexhaustible supply of it, that has made Wakanda the most technologically advanced nation on Earth. "So for me this is one of the high points of my career". In Black Panther, Marvel creates a complex battle between heroes who are not entirely good and villains who are not entirely evil. The revolution behind taking every marginalized identity in typical films and making them the center of Black Panther is what allows this film to annihilate its competition.

The movie speaks to black America's frustration in more ways than one-and that's what representation is all about. The Black Panther premiered in Hollywood on 29th January 2018, and other parts of the world followed.
