"COD 2018 is Black Ops 4 and is coming to PS4/Xbox/PC/Switch".
That's at least according to industry tipster, Marcus Sellars, who claims that not only is Black Ops 4 emerging from cover later this year, but it'll also hit the Switch in addition to PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
Meanwhile, details regarding the new entry to the first-person shooter franchise claim it will be set in modern times, which seems to be supported by a job listing posted by the publisher and developer previous year. The Switch version of Black Ops 4 will reportedly support new DLC map packs, HD Rumble as well as the Joy-Con motion controls. It is set in the modern era, like Modern Warfare, and will be grounded in realism.
It is no secret that Call Of Duty is an annual franchise with three major developing studios working on it and with Sledgehammer' Call of Duty: WW2 release, fans are looking forward to Call Of Duty 2018 and a rumor has made its way on the internet suggesting that it will be Black Ops 4.
Considering how popular still is, it's no surprise to see Activision continue with games set in the same universe. Considering the company is also behind Call of Duty Black Ops, Black Ops II and Black Ops 3, it's extremely likely that Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is a thing.
It's worth keeping in mind that Activsion and Treyarch have not disclosed CoD 2018's setting, which means that we'll find out more information about this game later this year or around E3 2018.
This all needs to be taken with a grain of salt, as we need to wait on official news from Activision regarding the future of the series.
Given how well the Nintendo Switch has sold, it makes sense for the next Call of Duty game to arrive on Nintendo's latest console.
