Lorde may boycott the Grammys over alleged sexist snub

Despite being nominated for Album of the Year for her hit album Melodrama, Lorde was reportedly not offered a solo performance like the males nominated in the same category.

Variety reports that Lorde, one of this year's five nominated artists for Album of Year, was not offered an opportunity to perform solo at this year's ceremony.

Per usual, the Grammys feature much-discussed performances from the biggest names in music-except this year, Lorde's name won't be discussed amongst other performers on Monday morning.

At tonight's Grammy Awards, you may have noticed the red carpet was distinctly lacking Album of the Year nominee Lorde.

Lorde has refused to perform at today's Grammys ceremony and may not walk the red carpet, according to reports.

Topping off the call out of toxicity within the industry, she captioned the image with the line "this says it all". Contradiction will be heightened.

"Of the 899 people to be nominated for Grammy awards in the past six years, only nine per cent were women,"the post reads".

Whether or not Lorde takes home the gilded gramophone, her rule-bending beauty is the evening's ultimate win. Bestie Taylor Swift, 27, was a no-show, but we don't care, because the "Liability" singer shines all on her own!
