Princess Charlotte Looks So Big In New Nursery School Photos

"The images were taken by The Duchess shortly before Princess Charlotte left for her first day of nursery at the Willcocks Nursery School". And to prove just how big she's getting, Kate Middleton, 35, snapped two adorable photos of the tiny royal before she headed off to her very first day of nursery school on January 8. She also had on a pink backpack in the photos, with a matching pink scarf.

In September, Charlotte's older brother, Prince George, started at Thomas's Battersea, a fee-paying independent school in south London. Though Charlotte looks a little more excited, the resemblance is evident. Taking after your great-grandmother isn't all that bad, especially when she's the Queen.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share two photographs of Princess Charlotte at Kensington Palace this morning", the Palace said.

Willcocks is owned and run by headmistress Lavinia Taylor, with an all-women staff, and emphasises on learning through fun.

On its website the school, rated as "outstanding" by government inspectors, describes itself as traditional, saying it "strives to maintain its ethos for high standards, excellence and good manners".

He previously attended Montessori nursery school in Norfolk, which is close to Anmer Hall.

Charlotte wrapped up warm for her big day in a burgundy double-breasted wool coat by Amaia Kids, which is priced at £120.00, and is now still in stock, unlike the grey version - which is completely sold out.

It feels like it was only yesterday that we were welcoming little Charlotte into the world.

The 2-year-old is shown on the steps of the palace in one photo and standing holding onto a rail in another.
