With the Blue Jays' success in 2015, the Buffalo Bills inherited the title of holding the longest active playoff drought.
Giddy Buffalo fans continue to send a lot more money to an National Football League quarterback from Katy who helped them get into the playoffs.
This is likely the highest honor Bills fans can bestow upon someone, so I hope Dalton doesn't take it lightly.
Quarterback Andy Dalton hooked up with Tyler Boyd on a 49-yard touchdown pass on a fourth-down and 12 play with 44 seconds to play to lift the Cincinnati Bengals over the host Baltimore Ravens, 31-27, in their 2017 season finale on Sunday, Dec. 31.
Dalton said that as of Thursday morning, Bills fans have donated almost $300,000 to his charity, the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation. Dalton posted a video on his Twitter account Wednesday expressing his gratitude with an update on the donations. "Thank you. THANK YOU!" "I think I'm the hottest guy in Buffalo right now", Dalton said Monday. "We can not thank everybody enough".
The Bills fans, known by the hashtag #BillsMafia, were delirious on Sunday after celebrating their first playoff berth since 1999.
"This has been just so awesome to see just how supportive people are, how much people are blessing us with these donations".
Dalton said that Buffalo fans donated money to his charity that provides aid for ill and physically challenged children and their families, NFL.com said. They won their last two games, knocking the Lions and Ravens out of the playoff race.
