While the show will be Obama's return to a TV talk show, the new monthly Netflix program will also mark Letterman's return to show business after leaving his historic run hosting "The Late Show" back in 2015. The new show is set to launch on January 12. Interviews will be supplemented by field segments that aim to quench Letterman's "curiosity and desire to dig deeper on a specific topic related to the iconic guest", according to Netflix.
Called My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman, the six-episode series will also feature interviews with actor George Clooney, rapper Jay-Z, radio shock jock Howard Stern, comedian Tina Fey and Pakistani education activist and Nobel Peace Prize victor Malala Yousafzai, the streaming service said.
