"You never know when you might learn something, and that's what this is about for me", he says in the newly released teaser for My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman, a talk-show series that will begin streaming on Friday, Jan. 12, Netflix announced Friday.

While the show will be Obama's return to a TV talk show, the new monthly Netflix program will also mark Letterman's return to show business after leaving his historic run hosting "The Late Show" back in 2015. The new show is set to launch on January 12. Interviews will be supplemented by field segments that aim to quench Letterman's "curiosity and desire to dig deeper on a specific topic related to the iconic guest", according to Netflix.

Called My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman, the six-episode series will also feature interviews with actor George Clooney, rapper Jay-Z, radio shock jock Howard Stern, comedian Tina Fey and Pakistani education activist and Nobel Peace Prize victor Malala Yousafzai, the streaming service said.

David Letterman is returning to late night-and he's bringing some big names with him.

News of the series was first announced in August.

David Letterman is retiring from retirement. The six-episode show features Letterman extensively interviewing one person inside and outside of a studio setting.

This is the first time Letterman has led a series in over two years.
