LaVar Ball pulls son LiAngelo Ball out of UCLA

"We are exploring other options with Gelo", LaVar Ball told ESPN. "He's out of there".

The younger Ball and the two freshman teammates with whom he was caught stealing Louis Vuitton sunglasses, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley, missed their eighth game Sunday, the Bruins' 106-73 win over the University of Detroit Mercy. "So basically they're in jail here", Ball added.

It's doubtful that LiAngelo Ball can land a big contract in Europe, but there might be some teams willing to sign him.

Those options will not include transferring to another school. LiAngelo is eligible to enter the NBA Draft in 2018.

I guess we'll have to see what's in store for LiAngelo now, because it's hard to envision any school wanting him to play basketball there.

We're told LaVar believes the suspension was unfair, especially since the charges were dropped. "If I was going to thank somebody I'd probably thank President Xi (Jinping)", LaVar Ball said to CNN's Chris Cuomo.

The three players have remained indefinitely suspended by the program.

"They had him there just to use the Ball family name".

"He's going to be taken care of either way", LaVar Ball said of LiAngelo, and then suggested that LiAngelo could have a future as a model.

LaVar Ball said that that the plan is still for LaMelo Ball - ESPN's seventh-ranked player in the class of 2019 - to go to UCLA.

The elder Ball says he hasn't spoken to the school about withdrawing his son.
