Police are investigating a videotaped altercation in which an apparently intoxicated University of Miami football fan slaps an officer, who then punches her in the head.

After she fails to do so, the policeman in question swerves around and delivers a powerful punch to the woman's face. Police did not release the officer's full name.

Saturday night's incident at the nationally televised game was posted on the Instagram account The 5th Year.

The mother of a girl whose body was found inside a dumpster at a southwest Miami-Dade County apartment complex Sunday afternoon has been arrested in connection with her daughter's death, police said.

The video shows that there are four officers holding each of her limbs and lifting her up and out of the stadium: She wasn't going anywhere, and with 4-on-1 odds, there is clearly only one party in control.

According to the Independent, the officer has only been identified as "Detective Ross" so far.

After officers couldn't get Freitas to exit the section calmly, the report says, she planted herself on the stairs.

"After responding to a disturbance, the person in the video was being removed from the event by our officers for being disorderly".

According to the arrest report, Freitas had been arguing with other fans and was "using profanity in a loud, boisterous manner" when officers arrived.

He said the investigation was still ongoing on Sunday morning.

"Supervisory personnel are aware of the video, and are reviewing the incident to ensure compliance with our policies and procedures".

The University of Miami has not issued a statement about the video.
