Insults and injuries: Jameis Winston (still) needs to grow up

The Bucs season may be over, but Winston has plenty of time to turn his career around - you can only hope he learned from the worst afternoon of his National Football League career.

The Saints are winning games and making history, the kind of history that has boded quite well for teams in the past.

PASSING DOWNTURN: Tampa Bay arrived in New Orleans with the NFL's second-ranked passing game, but managed only 113 yards through the air against a Saints secondary featuring rookies Lattimore and safety Marcus Williams, along with and second-year cornerback Ken Crawley and second-year safety Vonn Bell.

One step at a time but get ready to dance, New Orleans. And the first two teams went on to win the Super Bowl: the 2007 New York Giants (six straight) and the 1993 Dallas Cowboys (seven straight). Winston was 7 of 13 for 67 yards and the Bucs' extended their losing streak to five games in a 30-10 rout.

The Saints are looking for their seventh win in a row this week on the road against the Buffalo Bills.

Bryan Anger's first punt was blocked and returned for a touchdown.

Evans ran up and hit Saints rookie cornerback Marshon Lattimore from behind after Lattimore and Winston, who was on the sideline because of the shoulder injury, exchanged words during a brief confrontation.

On defense, the Saints continued their stingy ways since the team's 0-2 start, limiting the Bucs (2-6) to 200 yards with all 10 of their points following New Orleans turnovers. Props to Damien Harris for flying to Lattimore's defense and grinding Evans into the turf.

The Buccaneers will activate QB Ryan Griffin from injured reserve, and he'll back up Fitzpatrick until Winston is cleared for activity.

Folks, the Saints are becoming scary good. "We're going to have to be ready to go", Brees said. Kamara made up for this mistake just before the half as he dodged tacklers and scored a touchdown on a 33-yard screen pass. Ginn also muffed a punt.

The Bucs did nearly nothing right against the Saints.

Evans apologized after the game and said he let his emotions get the best of him.

Saints left tackle Terron Armstead took himself out of the game with a chest injury late in the first half, but said after the game that he was hurt on his first play and tried to play through it.

The men in Black and Gold are entering a critical four-game stretch where every team they face has a shot at the playoffs.
