The X-Files Season 11 sees Scully reteaming with Agent Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) returning to duty as Federal Bureau of Investigation agents while they go on the search for their missing son, William.
The X-Files was among the most popular TV shows of the 1990s and even influenced a number of other TV series, including Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Interestingly enough he's offering Director Skinner a deal.
But don't worry - "The truth still lies in the X-Files". Could the now-teenage William be the one to saving his biological (and adjacent) parents from the virus or is he the key to something much, much bigger? Carter also said that Mulder and Scully's mysterious son William will be a major part of the new episodes, and called his storyline "brilliant". Carter promised, "As you come to expect with a Darin Morgan episode, it's original, idiosyncratic, very, very amusing - it's a thumb in the eye of the show itself".
"No, no, I think this will be it for me."
Furthermore, a Fox spokesperson said in a statement to Screen Rant that Anderson "has not commented on returning as it's premature in that she is now filming the new event series". "I love the scripts and I find it very interesting to try to play the same character while deconstructing and self-destructing the character at the same time".
Carter also promised an action-packed season.
